why gecko as our logo?
For millions of years different civilisations including the
Mayas, Aztecs, African peoples and native North American Indians,
worshiped animals through paintings and other forms of art,
symbolising different beliefs, traditions and meanings. This
art confirms the wisdom of these people.
The Gecko represented to our ancestral people attributes such
as the capacity to change, agility and most importantly the
human ability to adapt. These are the characteristics which
best illustrate our philosophy and serves as an inspiration
to our proposal of creating stimulus for the human sustainable
development.
what is a gecko?
Gecko is a common name within the Gekkonidaes family.
They are small and harmless lizards found in tropical regions
of the planet. In Asia some geckos from this family emit a
loud and striking noise which sounds as though they are saying
"Gecko".
The Gecko is a symbol of wisdom and quick action. This lively
little lizard lives in warm climates, spending its time scurrying
up walls and over rocks and basking in the sun. It can climb
almost anywhere, holding on to surfaces with the aid of tiny
suction cups on the bottom of its toes. According to folklore,
the Gecko would crawl up the sides of homes to welcome people.
Should you find a Gecko upon your wall, consider it a sign
of good luck!
